We regularly advice about cross border sale of goods and services, structuring acquisitions, investments, JV’s, sale of business, debt and equity financing and restructuring, negotiating agreements between countries, as well as advising on issues of sovereignty and international law.
We have handled business transaction relating to outsourcing of information technology and other business processes and back-office functions into India; involving regulatory and competition, employment, HR related issues, and dispute resolution. Our involvement extends throughout the lifecycle of the transaction, from the initial structuring of a deal through the procurement process to contract negotiation, transition, implementation and management, renegotiation or re-tendering, and exit planning for our clients. Many members of the team have advanced degrees in business related fields to provide greater value-added legal services.
Most recently we have advised various clients in outbound investments from India into the neighbouring countries of Nepal and Sri Lanka in acquisition of existing and greenfield projects in the areas of cement, power, hospitals, distribution, alternate fuels and in telecom sector.
